PAWLING REC ??CHALLENGE OF THE DAY??

BUILD A BOWLING GAME
.
You need:
10 empty water bottles
Paper & something to write with
A medium sized ball
Art supplies of your choosing
.
1. Decorate the water bottles to make them look like bowling pins or get creative and decorate them however you want!
2. Fill the water bottles and set them up as bowling pins down a hallway or a big area.
3. Each person will try knocking down the bottles twice before it is the next players turn.
4. Each pin knocked down in 1 point. Keep track of how many pins each player knocks down.
5. After each player has 10 turns add up the points to see who is the winner.
6. Share pictures and videos with us below!!

What you need:
1. Something to toss and catch (be creative!!)
2. A partner


The Challenge:
1. Toss the item back and forth as many times as you can without dropping it.
2. Create different challenges (ex: taking a step back each time you catch it...)
3. Share your accomplishments and variations with us!!

Weather Forecaster for the Day
.
Make a video of yourself giving the weather forecast for the day.

BLINDFOLDED DRAWING
.
What you need:
Paper
Something to draw with (pencil, crayon, marker etc...)
Blindfolds
Artists and Announcers
.
How to play:
1. Each artist is given a piece of paper and something to draw with.
2.Each artist drawing is blindfolded.
3. The announcer chooses what must be drawn
4. After your drawing is complete, take the blindfold off and reveal your artwork.
5. Take turns being the artist and the announcer
6. Share your creations with us!

TALLEST TOWER

What you need:
A stack of pennies
Stop Watch
.
Challenge:
How many pennies can you stack in one minute using only one hand?
Take a video and share with us.
Challenge your family members or friends.

Extra Challenges
-Use the opposite hand you write with
-Use cereal pieces (Cheerios, Fruit loops , Cinnamon Toast Crunch).

Create your own challenge and share it with us.

MOSAIC MASTERPIECE
.
What you will need:
Sidewalk chalk
Tape (like painters tape)
A large area to create your artwork (driveway/fence)
.
With your parents permission and help, create a large mosaic grid on your driveway.
Section off small areas within the large grid with tape.
Color in each section with different colors of chalk.
When you are all done, remove the tape to reveal your artwork.
Share your masterpiece with us!

Create Your Own Obstacle Course
.
Create an obstacle course and time your family members to see who can complete it the fastest.

Block Stack
.
What you need:
5 blocks
1 paper plate per player
.
How to play:
Each player balances a plate on their head and then tries to adds a block one at a time to the top of the plate without knocking it over.
The person who can stack the most blocks wins.



PAWLING REC ??CHALLENGE OF THE DAY??

RING TOSS
.
YOU NEED:
A cardboard box
At least 3 empty rolls of toilet paper/paper towels
Glue
Paper plates
Scissors
Art supplies of your choosing
Paper & something to write with
.
Decorate the empty rolls however you want and get creative with other household items.
.
Put the box upside down and glue the decorated rolls to the box (it should look like they are on a stage).
.
While you wait for it to dry feel free to decorate the box as well.
.
Create a point system with the rolls (the ones farther away are more points, the smaller ones are more points, etc.)
.
Take a few paper plates and cut the middle out so you are left with a ring.
.
Decorate your plate with pictures of your favorite hobby.
.
Take turns trying to get your ring around the rolls and keep track of how many points each player gets.
.
You can make the game more challenging by making each player take a step farther away after each round.
.
The game ends when a player reaches the desired amount of points (whoever gets to 20 first wins) or after everyone has had the same amount of turns (everyone gets 10 tosses and whoever has the most points wins)

.

You can even play a game at the same time: “I’m going to a picnic and I’m bringing…” OR "I spy"

Write A Letter
.
Break out the envelopes, the stamps, the pens, and paper. No, we’re not talking e-mails; we’re talking old-fashion snail mail.
.
Write and mail a letter to someone you love, like grandma and grandpa, or a family member who lives far away.
.
