American Red Cross Lifeguard Course

Pawling Recreation is excited to announce that we will be offering an American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Course this Spring.

The course will take place at the New Fairfield High School  (classroom training), New Fairfield High School (pool training) and will require 9 hours of online work.
 
American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Course
WHERE:  New Fairfield HS (CLASSROOM) / New Fairfield HS (POOL)
WHEN: Sat April 1, 9-6 (POOL) / Sun April 2, 9-6 (CLASSROOM) & Sat April 8, 9-6 (POOL)     
FEE: $300 plus $35 Red Cross fee

 
*Upon successful completion of the course, employment opportunities at Lakeside Park will be available. Bonuses can be earned for employees working through Labor Day!

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 15 by the last day of class
Swim 500 yards Front Crawl & Breaststroke
Dive 9 feet, retrieve a 10lb brick & swim on your back 1 lap – timed 1min 40 sec
Must attend all classes, pass written exam & skills to be certified
This is a blended learning format class- you will have 9 hours of online work
